No, this is not a real brewery, just a bunch of kettles in my front yard where I make beer, wine, and sodas for my family and friends. I also try to keep up on regional beer related events - festivals, contests and the like - and will post updates and links here as I get them.

Porter almost ready

The Robust Porter I make every year for the block party is just about done. It has been chilling and carbonating for a week or so. I paid attention to water chemistry on this one, so it should be smooth without any acrid bitterness from the dark grains. It still needs some time to let the flavors meld, but should be ready for the party in early November.

Witbier on tap

Both the Belgian style and the American style witbiers are ready to serve. The Belgian half is similar to Hoegaarden, floral and spicy. The American half is still floral and citrusy, but not so spicy. It is more like Blue Moon if it must be compared to something commercial.

IPA on tap

The India Pale Ale made when Dave Graham stopped in to visit is ready to serve! Based on Dave Brockington's Sister Star of the Sun recipe, this one came in a little lighter in gravity and a little dryer than in the past. The hops really jump out nicely, even without dry hopping.
